IT FINALLY LAUNCHED!!

Fourteen months after delivering all 71 videos, walk-in visitors and checked-in guests can now enjoy the QR Code Tour by downloading The Manila Hotel app on the App Store or Google Play.

In celebration of its 104th anniversary, the hotel launched the QR Code Tour and Pop-Up Museum at the Roma Salon.

So how does it work?
1. Download The Manila Hotel app.
2. Create an account or log-in with your Facebook account.
3. Scan the 'M' letter on the app and wait for the video to load.

What I love about this is that guests can tour around the hotel's historic sites at their own pace and mobile phones on hand. Wearing earphones is an option.

A guide map for the QR Code Tour is easily available at the reception area.

By scanning and watching a few videos, you don't only get to learn something new and historical about the hotel, you also get freebies or discounts! (See below)

I got a $104++ discount for a Superior Room!
Some of the things you'll learn:
  • The Manila Hotel is the oldest hotel in the Philippines built in 1909 and was opened in commemoration of American Independence on July 4, 1912.
  • The penthouse (MacArthur suite now) served as General Douglas MacArthur's residence during his term as the Military Advisor of the Philippine Commonwealth from 1935-1941.
  • It was occupied and bombed by the Japanese troops during the World War II in the Philippines.

These are the only few main reasons as to why it plays a significant role in the history of the Philippines as a whole. So I encourage everyone to go check it out. Promise, it's worth it!

Since we are advocates of history and culture in the Philippines, this project holds close my heart.

The fact that Bani and I left a mark in Manila, the place we call home, leaves me overwhelmed.

Thank you Manila Hotel for trusting us in producing all the videos! Congratulations to the whole team!
