Even before Bani went on a break for two weeks in California, we were already talking about getting married soon and about telling our friends living abroad so they can start saving up. While he was away, I started pinning on Pinterest some wedding ideas, because, duh, that's how us (most) girls do it. Haha.

This was kind of a brand new feeling as we never talked about "getting married" to this extent. Even with all the planning we had in mind, I still held back. I know expectations lead to disappointments so I stopped thinking about it for a while.

Two days before he arrived, he asked me if we can go to Mall of Asia on Friday to watch the movie Max and to accompany him shoot the sunset for his vlog. Max wasn't showing at SM MOA for some reason so we just had our usual ramen fix at Ramen Nagi and window shopped for a few hours to stall time. Basically, it was a typical day for me.

The sun was to set at 6:29 PM. I was hesitant to wait until then because I knew it'd rain that afternoon, but we still went for it anyways. At 6 PM, we were at Bayside. He was doing his own thing while I played Criminal Case on my phone. He asked me to stand up, I asked why.  He said something like he needs it for the shot since the sun's about to go down. So I did.

I saw him standing there beside me with a small red box on his hands. It was the perfect moment!!! But the first thing that came out of my mouth was "WHAT? OH NO.." I was asking so many questions like what did his parents say, where and when did he get the ring and why?! I forgot the rest as I asked a lot. LOL. And apparently, he approached my dad that morning and showed him the ring. He said he even messaged Nikki, my best friend, a picture of the ring. OMG, it was the sweetest thing! #ikawnabro

My dad got so emotional when we got home. He said he never felt this feeling before even when my brothers got married. I cried buckets!!! But assuring him that I will always be there for him kind of helped that night. I even asked him if he wanted me to call it off, he said no and that we should have babies soon. LOL.

There were the planning and everything but honestly, I was completely blown away!!! I wasn't expecting a proposal any time soon! Kinikilig pa din ako! Ganito pala feeling!? It's been almost a week now since I got engaged, but it hasn't sunk in yet!

I'm making an engagement/wedding blog series as my reference and something to look back to in the future. Hopefully, work doesn't stop me from doing so. Hehe!

UPDATE:

Here's a longer version of his proposal and the reasons why he proposed. LOL. I never expected anyone to give praises to me like this so I'm still in awe.

Thank you babe for making me feel the luckiest girl alive!
